Burness Paull is one of Scotland’s premier law firms with offices of equal size and strength across Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, serving clients in Scotland, the UK and globally.
We are looking to recruit a Solicitor/Senior Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) for the funds team. Initially working remotely, you can then be based from our Edinburgh office, and to our hybrid approach to working flexibly from home and the office. The successful candidate will work alongside our funds partners and our wider funds team.
This role will involve working on a range of matters relating to Burness Paull’s market leading private funds practice including:
- Advising on private investment fund structures, involving fund structuring and formation work and issues relating to these funds during their lifetime;
- Advising on investments into private fund structures; and
- Working across the team to advise private investment funds on securing the provision of debt finance.
The successful candidate doesn’t necessarily have to come from a funds background as the training and opportunities for personal development in the funds team are second to none. We’d be keen to hear from qualified lawyers who have a background in corporate or finance work.
The most important qualities the candidate will have are the ability to learn, to work hard, to work as a team and to be willing to take responsibility.
You must be pragmatic and results-focussed, and be able to work under pressure and to tight timescales as a member of our team. We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, a focus on quality and a determination to provide a first-class service.
