Burness Paull is one of Scotland’s premier law firms with offices of equal size and strength across Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, serving clients in Scotland, the UK and globally. We are looking to add to our outstanding team.
We are looking to recruit a Solicitor for the Property (Renewables) team in our Edinburgh office. Working alongside and supporting more senior fee earners and partners on renewable energy transactions and being trained and developed in transactions specific to the energy sector.
The successful candidate will work alongside the team led by Neil Bruce. The ideal candidate will have an interest in this type of work – preferably some experience from trainee / early PQE work, but this is not essential.
The workload is likely to be mixed between developer and funder work via direct instructions from developer and funder clients, and working with referral firms on larger renewable energy transactions where we are instructed as Scottish counsel.
The candidate will therefore be expected to rise to the demands of those kinds of transactions and have good project management skills where required, as well as being able to work well with project teams from referral firms and also with internal teams from other areas of the business.
The candidate must also be willing (where appropriate) to contribute to and be actively involved in our business development initiatives as we attempt to grow the practice.
This is a great opportunity to join a leading team in a successful, growing firm. At Burness Paull we look for ambition, innovation, passion and focus.
