Burness Paull is looking for a Senior Solicitor – Senior Associate (3-7 years PQE) to join the Employment team. This role can be based in either of our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices.
The employment law team is known for being friendly and collegiate. It also enjoys an excellent reputation, both locally and nationally, for its high level of quality service and advice it provides to clients. The successful candidate will work closely with the Employment Partners.
Candidates should have strong employment law experience, reflecting their level of qualification. Experience in dealing with the management of disputed/contentious employment tribunal claims is also highly desirable for this role.
The role will involve providing contentious and non-contentious employment law advice, predominantly acting for employers, and assisting more senior members of the team.
You must have a passion for employment law, be pragmatic and results focused, while working under pressure. We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, excellent written and oral communication skills, and who are determined to provide a first-class service to clients. The desire to work in a close-knit team and a strong work ethic are also essential.
