Burness Paull is looking for a Security Analyst to join the IT team in the Edinburgh office.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments

  • Research and evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them

  • Plan for disaster recovery in the event of any security breaches

  • Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity

  • Test and evaluate security products

  • Design new security systems or upgrade existing ones

Person Specification:

  • A passion for cyber security and a keen interest in IT

  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware and security

  • Existing experience in a security role or certification/qualification in the area of cyber/information/network security.

  • Experience with managing Windows server and client OS’s, Active Directory and associated services would be desirable.
