We are looking to recruit an NQ Solicitor to join our Construction & Projects Renewables team based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will work predominately alongside James Forbes, C&P Partner, and Chris Horsley, Director.
The Energy and Renewables market is a diverse and fast growing and it’s an exciting time to be part of this sector. Our Construction & Projects Renewables team advise on a variety of energy and renewables projects such as: offshore wind; energy from waste; biomass; energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects and district heating schemes. This role will cover a wide range of energy and renewables work including:
- Engineering procurement contracts including the use of standard form such as FIDC and MF1;
- Balance of Plant (civil and electrical contracts);
- Operation & Maintenance contracts;
- Turbine Supply Agreements;
- Maintenance and Service Agreements;
- Cable supply and installation contracts;
- Project Finance contracts; and
- Engineer and Technical Adviser appointment agreements.
You must be pragmatic, results-focussed and be able to work under pressure and to tight timescales. We are looking for candidates an interest in the construction/energy renewables sector. A willingness to participate in BD and play an integral part in developing the transactional renewables and energy business. Candidates with some prior experience of transactional contract work is preferable.
Our team has its own dedicated Knowledge Management Lawyer and training and support will be given to the successful candidate based on their level of expertise.
