We are looking to recruit a Finance Manager for the Finance division in our Edinburgh office. This is a minimum 15 – 18 months fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Preparation of annual accounts from management accounts, to include production of statutory accounts for audit, and main contact for auditors.

  • Main finance lead on the project to replace the firm’s Practice Management System.

  • Produce firm’s annual budget, including meeting with division heads and function heads to agree income and costs.

  • Authoriser for sending client and firm transfers, and approval of weekly supplier payments.

  • Liaise with tax advisers on all partner tax payments and on the firm’s tax computation.

  • Organise partner profit distributions, drawings, capital increases and repayments.

Personal Specification:

  • Candidate should hold a full professional accountancy qualification.Qualified by experience candidates will be considered, dependent on experience

  • Experience of working in a legal environment preferred

  • Candidate should have a good experience in the preparation of accounts, and a strong understanding of balance sheet and ledger controls
