Our Culture

We enjoy working hard together and we play together too. The firm places a high importance on a social and collaborative ethos, both in and out of the office. There are plenty of opportunities to get to know your colleagues and have fun after you switch off your computer.


There is a wide range of after-work events for employees. We have a social committee that organises events throughout the year, from our summer BBQ to our year end party. We even have our own ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ talent show.


There are opportunities to join various sporting teams; touch rugby, football, hockey, golf, rowing and tennis.


For us, Corporate Social Responsibility is not an add on. It’s an integral part of who we are. We consider we have an obligation to put something back into our community. And that’s what we have been doing for over a decade. The firm’s charitable and fundraising initiatives are drawn together under the Burness Paull Foundation. The Foundation is funded by the partnership and supports both charitable initiatives of the firm and individual fundraising and other charitable initiatives of employees.



We are proud and delighted to be the legal partner of Young Enterprise Scotland.

We also provide advice to a number of charities including The Grampian Osteoporosis Trust, Alpine Sports charitable trust, VSA, RNLI and Scotland’s Lighthouse Museum.
